Treverbyn Parish Council

Precept 2026/2027

Treverbyn Parish Council to increase precept by just 46p per week. Treverbyn Parish Council has agreed its budget and precept for the 2026/27 financial year following careful consideration of the services it provides and the responsibilities it has taken on. The precept is the Parish Council’s share of council tax, used to fund local facilities, services, and improvements within the Parish. For a Band D property, it will rise from £50.78 to £74.61 per year – an increase of £23.83 annually, which is just 46p per week. The Council has recently taken on several recreational grounds and community assets from Cornwall Council to ensure valued local spaces remain under local control. With this comes full responsibility for their maintenance, safety and improvement. Even with the increase, the Parish precept remains low compared with similar areas. The funds will support community facilities, environmental projects, and initiatives benefiting residents across the Parish. Treverbyn Parish Council is committed to responsibly and transparently investing every pound raised in the future of the Parish.
