Treverbyn Parish Council – Vacancy for a Parish Councillor (Bugle Ward)

Cornwall Council has confirmed that, following the publication of the official notice of vacancy, no request for an election has been made by ten electors of the Parish.

In accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Parish Council is therefore permitted to fill this vacancy by co-option.

The co-option process will be carried out in line with the Council’s Co-option Policy, which is available to view on our documents section on the website:

To be eligible, you must meet the legal qualifications to stand for co-option as set out in the Local Government Act 1972. These requirements are clearly outlined in the co-option policy
