Treverbyn Parish Council are seeking two new Parish Councillors to join our team through co-option, following the recent 2025 Local Elections.
This is a voluntary role, and no prior experience in politics or local government is required.
What we’re looking for is enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine desire to help shape the future of our parish.
Key Information:
> Meetings: Full Council Meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month.
> Availability: Applicants should be able to attend most meetings.
> Your Voice Matters: Help guide the direction of our community.
Co-option process
1) Application: Interested candidates should submit a written application detailing their background, experience, and reasons for wishing to become a councillor.
2) Meeting Presentation: At the co-option meeting, candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Council and provide further information.
3) Decision: The Council will discuss the candidates and make a decision regarding co-option.
4) Eligibility: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as set out in the Local Government Act 1972.
